Hospice of the Valley won the non-profit category of the Governor’s Volunteer Service Award, considered the highest volunteer award in the state. The judges’ panel made the selection based on need, action, innovation and impact.

Hospice of the Valley was honored as a Leader of the Year in Public Policy by the Arizona Capitol Times. The agency was selected for the award in the healthcare category for “innovative and progressive” end-of-life care.

Christine Armenta Receives $4,000 Scholarship

Christine Armenta, a triage nurse for HOV, was honored at the 20th annual National Hispanic Women's Conference in Phoenix for being among five Latina students at the University of Arizona's College of Public Health to receive a $4,000 scholarship.
