Education & Resources
Hospice of the Valley is proud to be the state’s leader in educating professionals and the public about the importance of quality end-of-life care. We strive to create and sustain a “learning organization” for ourselves, patients, families, and communities.
The Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust awarded Hospice of the Valley a grant to design and implement a palliative medicine rotation for residents and fellows. All internal medicine and family practice residents in Maricopa County are participating in the program. In addition, surgery, psychiatry, pediatrics, and ob-gyn residents from selected programs are enrolled.
Because of the overwhelming success of the physician education program, The Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust awarded Hospice of the Valley grants to design and implement two-day Palliative Care Fellowships for community nurses, social workers and chaplains.
